The Rocky Mountains provide endless artistic inspiration, and the area around Crested Butte is no exception. This one-day water-media workshop will help students capture the unique look of the local mountain landscape. Incorporating ideas about composition, values, and color theory, as they relate to a mountain landscape, students will learn skills they can apply to their individual styles of painting.
Supply List:
Watercolors or Acrylics – whichever brand you have on hand.
Palette
Paper, aquaboard, canvas, gesso board – use what you are comfortable with, half sheet size (15” x 22”) or smaller. Bring 3 or 4 pieces.
Assorted brushes
Container to hold water, spray bottle
Reference photos, or work from the views out the windows of the classroom.
Paper towels, pencils, a board to tape paper on (optional)

Registration is $100 for current CWS Members and $115 for Non Members.
